COBB CLOSE TO FACING HITTERS AGAIN: RHP Alex Cobb (concussion) threw his second bullpen session since he was hit in the head by an Eric Hosmer line drive June 15.

The right-hander threw 47 pitches, and believes he is very close to facing live hitters again.

"I'm pushing [the training staff] to let me do it," Cobb said afterwards.  "I'm trying to speed this process up as much as I can now that I feel good.  My arm feels good, so I don't feel like there's any reason to baby the process now, I'd like to go as quickly as I can."

Cobb says he has one more scheduled bullpen session on Thursday, and afterwards he will be re-evaluated by the training staff and coaches to see when he'll face live hitters behind the screen.
