Dog dies after Tampa house fire

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Multiple fire crews responded to a late night fire in Tampa.

Firefighters responded to the fire on the 3600 block of N. Dartmouth Avenue and found a single story residential home with heavy fire and smoke coming from the rear portion of the home.

While performing a search of the home, firefighters said they found and removed a dog, but unfortunately it did not survive.

Officials said the fire left the home with significant damage and the cause is under investigation by Tampa Fire Marshal investigators.
