I-4, Crosstown Connector planned to open Monday

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - The new I-4/Selmon Expressway connector is planned to open for traffic Monday morning.

The connector links I-4 with the Crosstown Expressway.

John McShaffrey with the Department of Transportation said just pay attention.

"It's very important for people to know where they want to connect to when they're entering the system. So, be on the lookout. We have a lot of signs out there, but know that when you're exiting I-4 - for example to go to the Selmon - that you look for the correct signage to direct you to your connection point," McShaffrey said.

You can access the connector from 20th Avenue, I-4 and the Crosstown.

It'll cost you between $.50 and $1.25 if you have a Sun Pass.
