Tampa, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-Tampa International Airport's Master Plan Update is set for review by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board. The update outlines a 20-year blueprint for growth based on F.A.A. passenger projections.
The update includes a consolidated rental car facility connected to the main terminal by a people mover. The are also links to regional transportation networks.
The plan also includes a new international terminal and a security screening checkpoint in the main terminal. The plan will also allow the exsisting terminal to accomodate 34.7 million passengers. Tampa International will have room for growth as the airport won't reach that passenger target until 2041.
