TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (970 WFLA)-The Rules Committee in the Florida Senate gets an earful from veterans and seniors who are worried about a bill to ban Internet Cafes.
They're worried the bill is so broad that it will also shut down adult arcades that are popular with retirees and cripple fundraising campaigns run by veterans groups like the American Legion. Senate Rules Chairman John Thrasher says that won't happen.
After clearing the rules committee, the bill to ban Internet Cafes is ready for floor action in the senate. It has already been approved by the House.
