CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA.com) - More people are using St. Pete Clearwater International Airport than they have in the last decade.
More than 1 million passengers passed through in 2013. That's a 17 percent increase over 2012, according to the airport Director Joel Lagos.
"That all translates to increasing support for the tourist economy in Pinellas County," said Lagos.
People can now fly nonstop to 34 different cities in America and Canada from St. Pete Clearwater International Airport. The majority of the flights are offered by Las Vegas-based Allegiant Airlines.
