Tampa, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-Spirit Airlines says it is starting seasonal service between Tampa International Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on November 7.
Tampa International CEO Joe Lopano says passenger counts between Minneapolis and Tampa more than double during peak season. Lopano expects even more business with Spirit's new nonstop flights as Minnesotans fly in to enjoy Tampa Bay’s beaches, shopping, nightlife and other amenities that make the area a desirable destination.
Spirit V.P. Mark Kopczak says the new service will help the airline introduce low fare options to even more of the warm and sunny places Minnesotans want to visit during the cold of winter.
