Tampa, Fla. (Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Two days of rain finally end here in the Tampa Bay area. The cool front has pushed through and has moved the rain away.
Today's rain was light compared with yesterday. Temple Terrace was the hardest hit with almost 9 inches of rain. Tampa set a record for the date with over 3 inches of rain. Busch Gardens and USF had parking lots that looked like lakes. Over 2,500 TECO customers lost power.
All the rain and high water also caused the Curran waste water plant to leak out a little sewage into the Seddon Channel, so people are being advised not to swim or fish in the channel until at least Monday.
