The State Releases High School Grades

Tampa, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-Nearly half of Florida's high schools are getting an A grade for the 2012-2013 school year.  The grades released by the Florida Department of Education show a slight increase in the number of A graded schools.

More than half of Hillsborough County high schools earned an A grade. Hillsborough's traditional high schools earned the most A grades ever, with 14 of the 27 high schools earning the top grade.

In Pinellas County, the percentage of high schools earning A and B grades went from 81 percent to 100 percent. A total of nine Pinellas high schools received an A, the same as the last school year.

In Pasco County, nearly half of the high school received A grades.
