St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA) -Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark is reminding residents that Monday, October 7 is the voter registration deadline to vote in the November 5, 2013 Municipal Elections.
The following municipalities have scheduled elections on November 5: Belleair Beach, Clearwater, Kenneth City and St. Petersburg.
The City of Belleair Beach has requested that its Referendum Election be conducted by all mail ballot, pursuant to Florida Statute 101.6102.
ALL registered voters in the City of Belleair Beach will be mailed ballots. No polling places will be open for this election.
State law requires that individuals be registered to vote at least 29 days before an election in order to vote. Anyone who is already registered to vote does not need to re-register but needs to make sure the Supervisor of Elections has his/her current address.
Individuals may register to vote or update their voter information at any Supervisor of Elections office, public library, Tax Collector office or government office handling social services. Some public libraries have evening and weekend hours.
For an updated voter registration event list, visit www.votepinellas.com and select News and Events/Voter Education & Registration Events.
Address changes from another Florida county made at the polls will require the voter to vote a provisional ballot, except for active military voters and their families. Address changes may be made by calling 464-VOTE or email@example.com; include date of birth.
Any updates may be made by completing and signing a voter registration application, available at www.votepinellas.com, and returning it to the Supervisor of Elections.
To request a ballot by mail or for more information, call (727) 464-VOTE (8683) or visit www.votepinellas.com.
