Hall of Fame player, Lightning founder, and current Bolts radio analyst Phil Esposito joined Tom Krasniqi Thursday afternoon and talked all things Lightning hockey, including what has made Vatteri Filppula so effective in Jon Cooper's system, how Tampa Bay has weathered without Steven Stamkos and his estimated timetable to return.
Ben Bishop was also a hot topic with Esposito, specifically the surpise goaltending of the 6-7 Bishop, who picked up win No. 21 Wednesday night in Vancouver.
"Bishop is now, just coming up, I think he's 27 years old now, so this is his time, and he's making good of it," Esposito said. "This guy has been nothing short of sensational and has got to be in the running for the Vezina Trophy. Has to be."
