Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman joined the Ron and Ian Show Thursday and talked at length about the upcoming season and seemed thrilled with what Tampa Bay will put on the field.
Freeman also touched on his contract situation, showing little concern as he enters the final year of his rookie deal.
"I'm excited to get this year going, it has nothing to do with contract year, who signs this, what happens," Freeman said, "It's gonna all work out in the end."
The fifth-year quarterback admitted to Ron and Ian that "it's the biggest year I've had from that standpoint" and there are some things "weighing on my mind" but far and away sounded encouraged about his situation at this point.
Freeman also spoke about the talents around him, the return of Pro Bowl guards Davin Joseph and Carl Nicks, and the Bucs' new and improved defense.
