Finally. High School All-American Chris Walker, a 6-11 talent who has been waiting all season to be cleared academically, can suit up for Florida.
Walker was cleared by the NCAA and can play and his first game Tuesday night against Missouri.
The NCAA ruled that Walker received preferential treatment from five people, including two agents. As a result he must pay back the $270 he received from the agents as well as perform community service.
Among the benefits were lodging, meals and cellphone service.
Walker is not expected to start but certainly gives the Gators a huge lift in frontcourt depth.
