Danny Wuerffel To Be Inducted Into College Hall Of Fame

NEW YORK, NY (University of Florida Communications) -Former Gator Great Danny Wuerffel has been named as one of 12 players and two coaches that will be a part of the 2013 Class inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation (NFF) announced today. 

Wuerffel, one of Florida's three Heisman Trophy winners, led UF to four-consecutive Southeastern Conference Championships (1993-96) and one National Championship (1996). Upon graduation, Wuerffel held 48 records (4 NCAA, 12 SEC and 32 Florida). He completed 708 of 1,170 passes for 10,875 yards with 114 touchdowns in his Gator career. 

Wuerffel is the 10th Gator to be inducted in to the NFF College Football Hall of Fame.

Wuerffel and the other inductees will be honored at the National Football Foundation's Annual Awards Dinner in New York City at the Waldorf Astoria on Tuesday, December 10th, 2013.
