Chris Archer threw his first complete game shutout, and Desmond Jennings hit his 11th home run as the Tampa Bay Rays finished off the first half of their scheduled with the ninth win in their ten-game homestand, a 5-0 decision over the Houston Astros.

Jennings started the scoring in the bottom of the first, as he beat out a ground ball to third base to open the inning and scored three batters later on Evan Longoria's two-out double into the gap to make it 1-0.

The game remained 1-0 until the fourth, when Kelly Johnson led off with a single to right.  Jose Lobaton then bunted his way aboard, and when Erik Bedard's throw sailed into the bullpen, Johnson came all the way around to make it 2-0.

Yunel Escobar singled Lobaton to third, and Jennings grounded into a double play, allowing the Rays catcher to make it a 3-0 game.

Jennings then blasted a two-run homer off reliever Paul Clemens in the sixth to set the score.

The Rays go into the All-Star Break with a record of 55-41.  They begin a ten-game road trip in Toronto Friday to start the second half of their schedule.
