In the end Grant Balfour said, it was an easy decision.
Though other teams could have paid more to Balfour he chose Tampa Bay, signing a two-year, $12-million deal to be the Rays' closer.
Balfour talked about the decision Friday morning with Ron and Ian on WDAE.
"In the end it’s easy I get to sleep in my own bed at night, which is a huge plus and I have two little girls. And my wife so they can stay at home and just live a normal life," he said.
Balfour originally signed elsewhere, with Baltimore, but a failed physical nixed that deal. He said "to be honest It all worked out in the end cause I’m where I wanna be."
