David Price was eager to let everyone know he was back.
"I'm throwing Tuesday [against Houston]. I thought we were going to announce that," the reigning Cy Young Award winner told 620 WDAE prior to Friday's game. "I hope I don't get in trouble for this."
Price was supposed to throw his bullpen session Friday, but because of the off day on Thursday, it was pushed back to Saturday.
But the left-hander is excited to get back with his teammates on the mound.
"It's going to be good to get out there and face Major League hitters in a Major League venue," Price said. "It's been quite a while and I'm ready to get back out there."
The team has not said who would be taken off the active major-league roster when Price is activated. He has been on the disabled list since May 16 with triceps soreness.
