(AP) — The Miami Hurricanes could find themselves in Sunday's Associated Press college football poll for the first time in three years
Stephen Morris threw a pair of first-quarter touchdown passes and Duke Johnson added a short scoring run that put the Hurricanes ahead 21-9 with 3:29 remaining in the Hurricanes' 21-16 win over 12th-ranked Florida. The 2-0 Hurricanes have won four straight dating to last season, their longest winning streak in five years.
Gators quarterback Jeff Driskel completed 22 of 33 passes for a career-best 291 yards and a late touchdown. But he also had two interceptions, fumbled once and was stopped on a fourth-down try for another giveaway.
Florida fell to 1-1 despite outgaining Miami 413 yards to 212 and posting a 22-10 edge in first downs.
